The Rural Building Company is a distinctly West Australian home builder. It knows what country life is all about and was established to offer an alternative to today's urban builders.

The Company says it understands what it's like to want a home that reflects individuality and style. A home that is unique and rich in character, designed to suit a particular situation and requirements.

And so Rural Building Company has developed a number of stunning design concepts, all with the perfect application for West Australian country, semi-rural and coastal living. The range includes collections such as the Views Range as well as Retreat, Country, Farmhouse and the Loft Range.

With its steeply pitched roof and twin bush poles that reach up to the upper floor balcony, the Brookfield Loft boasts a very imposing front elevation.

A slate-blue corrugated roof gives the home a unique, clean, but rustic appeal and the walls are a mixture of horizontal board painted a rich earth red, with corrugated Colorbond infills.
The result is quite stunning.

Energy efficiency is another feature of The Brookfield Loft. The home has a true-north orientation and window shading that has been designed to allow maximum penetration of winter sun while minimising the effects of the hot summer sun. Both the roof and external walls to the upper level have been insulated.

Adding to the energy efficiency is the Brookfield Loft's reverse brick veneer construction. This gives the home the efficiency of mass brick, moderating internal temperature while eliminating heat build-up from the external walls.

A wide timber deck at the front of the home welcomes you to the double, fully glazed front door.

Step into the main open plan area of the home and you can't help but be inspired. This large, free-form living space is dominated by a steel and timber-tread staircase and a high, raking ceiling.

The delightful island kitchen is impressively finished with roll-formed bench tops, stainless steel appliances and range hood. Windows to the outside make the kitchen an absolute treat to be in.

The rest of the room is open plan and can be set up and furnished in any way you desire.
The timber floor features a unique 'north point' contrasting inlay which makes an interesting conversation piece. Boldly painted walls, a wood fired heater and the huge void adds to the overall effect.

Above is the studio loft which features double doors that open onto the balcony. Once again, this area can be used for a variety of purposes. The choice is yours.

The master suite is roomy with a big, walk-in robe and well appointed ensuite. There's a special room where the kids can be kids, and a double-size guestroom ideally located alongside the biggest second bathroom you've ever seen.

The Brookfield Loft can also be built in framed construction, on stumps or poles, or in conventional double clay brick. Its shape allows it to run with the contours of a hill, minimising site costs and maximising any potential views.

You can inspect the Brookfield Loft display at Morgan Fields in Village 4 of the award-winning Ellenbrook development off Gnangara Road.
