HOME in WA continues its special feature series on the Waterwise Rebate Program, again this week featuring Sue McDougall from Everbloom Waterwise Garden Centre.

This initiative is part of the WA Government's Water Strategy Incentive Program. Its aim is to encourage West Australians to become more water efficient by offering rebates for a variety of waterwise products that can significantly reduce our domestic water use.

This week, Sue looks at the benefits of attaching Tap Timers to your garden watering system; how best to use them, the range available and how the Waterwise Rebate Scheme is applied to the purchase of Tap Timers.

Sue explains that a rebate of $10 is available on tap timers that can accommodate two day per week water restrictions. The timers allow sprinklers to operate for an allocated time, on two specific days at specific times of the day. The rebate is available for two tap timers per household.

The Waterwise Rebates are available for purchases made after 11 February 2004 and completed by 10 February 2005 (subject to Terms and Conditions)
