This Weeks Episode of Home in WA

This is the penultimate edition of Home in WA for 2003, so Richard Repp and his "Building Ideas" segment for the Master Builders Association travel to Minum Cove to make a final check on the progress of the MBA's third Show Home, being constructed by Webb & Brown-Neaves.

Richard talks with supervisor, Andre Shearer, who explains that brickwork to the upper floor level should be completed by the Christmas break and roof carpenters and tilers will resume early in the new year.

This prestigious home, built by one of Western Australia's premier home builders, will be a showpiece of design and workmanship and a fine example of why home makers should seriously consider utilising the services of a registered member of the MBA, when considering their next construction.

Richard Repp also meets Gavan Forster, housing manager of the MBA to discuss the outlook for the home building industry in 2004, the impact of recent interest rate rises and the possibility of a breakthrough in the problem of builders indemnity.

Richard and Gavan wish all builders and their families and viewers of Home in WA, a happy and safe Festive Season.
