Sizzling steaks with Martin's 'Retro bubble and squeak'
Serves 4

This recipe is a variation to having a boring steak, excellent for the BBQ or frying pan, give this one a try!

Ingredients
4 rump steaks from Star Of The North in Currambine
Then get yourself some ;-
Fresh thyme small hand full
Salt and pepper
Cumin teaspoon
mild Chili
Dash Avocado Oil
Garlic 2 to 3 cloves
Lemon rind
Large bowl of left over veggies from last nights dinner, potatoes carrots pumpkin etc

Method
1. In a pestle and mortar mix all ingredients until all combined.
2. Then bash out steak with your hand to increase surface area then rub through steak until all coated.
3. Heat frying pan until hot and cook steak to your liking.
4. Heat some olive oil in a frying pan, cook onion, 1 clove garlic until golden.
5. Place left over veggies in a frying pan and warm through, add a dash of Worcestershire sauce if you wish (optional) then serve.

Hints and Tips
Always let steak rest for a few moments in a warm place before serving




Apple and Pear fruit Crumble
Serves 4

Ingredients
6 tablespoons plain flour
3 tablespoons sugar
150gms butter
Combine all of the above

1 large tin of Apples
1 large pear
Sugar to taste
Dash of Balsamic vinegar
Small pinch of Fresh Thyme

Method
1. Mix all of above together then place into heat proof dishes
2. Top with crumble mix adding extra sugar to the top to make it crunchy
3. Bake in a pre heated oven 180 deg 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown
4. Serve warm with cream or ice cream.

Try adding cinnamon to the fruit or fresh herbs, thyme or basil for a different taste delicious!!
