Living on-site during a major renovation can be a huge test for your family members and of course your builders…

You can’t choose your family, but you can definitely choose your builders!
Renovating is a very personal process. Australian Renovation Group (A.R.G) know that each project with their clients is different and that’s why they customise the building journey to suit their clients’ lifestyles and their families.

Susan & Jim wanted to live on-site while the renovations were taking place. Their son was also studying for his Year 12 exams at the time. So this build was a whole new challenge…and we are pleased to say the relationship between Susan & Jim and A.R.G. turned out to be a match made in heaven.

The home’s new “heart” beats in perfect sync with the rest of the home. With the help of A.R.G, Susan and Jim completely restructured their classic Californian bungalow in Nedlands, from rabbit warren to entertainer’s delight.

Before the renovation, guests had to enter through the back veranda, only to regroup in the kitchen. It was a big job because the bulk of it took place smack bang in the middle of the house. The original kitchen, walk-in pantry, alfresco and laundry all had to be moved and internal walls were knocked down to create a spacious new living and dining area. It was an 8-month building process so savings were definitely pocketed by the family living on-site.

The end result not only impressed the owners but also the judges of the 2013 Master Builders BankWest Housing Excellence Awards.  For their efforts Australian Renovation Group were acknowledged as a quality renovator as one of only three finalists in Best Alterations and Additions between $300,000-400,000.
A sensational achievment.

The Directors of ARG, Peter Bottecchia and Stuart Redwood and their team were over the moon. With 25 years experience in the industry, they have been mates since childhood.

A.R.G are also work closely with top Perth building designer Yael Kurlansky, with their first job together taking place in the West Leederville home.

Peter commented that it’s been a very easy process as both Yael and A.R.G have a similar philosophy in the way they work with clients. “At A.R.G., we believe that developing great relationships is fundamental to handing over a home that we can all be proud of. The transition from designer to builder has been very smooth on this project and we can’t wait to produce the end result for our mutual client.” said Peter.
