When you think of special places for friends and family to visit when they come to Perth, you would have King's Park, the City skyline and the new Bell Tower at Barrack Street uppermost in your mind.

Well now, there's a spectacular new addition to the list. The Western Australian Maritime Museum has just opened and its certain to prove a great hit with visitors and locals alike.

Situated at Victoria Quay, Fremantle, the Maritime Museum is a superb contribution to WA's architectural statements, as well as housing a wonderful cross-section of our coastal and sea-faring past.

Special featured exhibits include our America's Cup-winning 12 metre, Australia 11 and Parry Endeavour, sailed around the world by Jon Sanders.

Western Australian Maritime Museum will open daily from 9.30am-5pm and is there is a function centre and theatrette available for hire as well.
