With summer almost here and those hot days of 30 to 40 degrees, your plants are going to struggle coping on only two or three waterings per week.  It’s not the number of waterings that is the problem but how effective they are.

This garden is a plant lover’s paradise with a colourful and interesting combination of natives, roses, perennials and cottage garden plants.  You may be watering your garden regularly, but a close check could reveal that the water isn’t penetrating into the root zone and the soil is still dry beneath the surface.

This could be because your soil is repelling water, leaving your plants at risk of drying out or even death.  This can be a result of waxy leaves that break down and coat the particles of sand or soil, or organic matter and potting mixes that have been allowed to dry out.

A simple solution to this water repellence problem is to apply this new 2-litre ready-to-use hose-on spray pack.  In just 10 minutes you can cover 100 square metres.  To save water and maximise nutrient uptake, apply this every three to six months to increase the 'wettability' and water holding capacity of your soil. This will maximise the penetration of the water into the plants’ root zone.

The aquatic safe wetting agent combined with Seasol seaweed and liquid composts helps to condition the soil and boost overall plant growth and performance.  After applying Seasol Super Soil Wetter & Conditioner, always turn on the reticulation to wash the soil wetter off the foliage and avoid burning.

Seasol Super Soil Wetter and Conditioner concentrate and the new 2 litre ready-to-use hose-on pack are available exclusively at Bunnings stores throughout WA and to find out more go to
