Great customer service is a hugely important part of any transaction whether it's building a home, finding a home loan or buying retail products. And each year the Customer Service Council recognizes the very best in customer service with the National Customer Service Council Excellence Awards.

The Customer Service Council  brings like-minded people and businesses together at high profile events with the goal of improving customer service at all levels. One of those high profile events is their own National awards gala, held this year at Perth's Duxton hotel.

Around 300 guests attended this year's event with City of Perth Lord Mayor, Lisa Scaffidi attending at a special guest speaker.

Entrants in the awards include enterprises across a wide variety of industries, judged by a select panel on all aspects of their customer service and undergoing a nine-month evaluation process. This year, the Awards celebrates its 12th year.

Awards were presented across a number of categories. Some of the big winners on the night were Paterson's Stadium who took out the Hospitality and Retail category, Bethanie ITC for Small Enterprise, Alinta Energy West Coast for Medium Enterprise and the Large Enterprise Gold Award went to Macquarie Telecom. Bethanie's Chris Frame was also recognised with the Rising Star Award.
