Here at Home in WA we've enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Master Builders and we've brought you regular stories featuring some of what they do, but just what does it take to be a Master Builder?

Master Builders are members of the Master Builders Association and they can be builders of residential homes, high-rise commercial properties or multi-residential developments. They can also be renovators or additions specialists, Subcontractors like Brickies, Tilers or Roof Plumbers or even Suppliers and consultants like surveyors and steel manufacturers.

Some 1500 businesses involved in the Construction Industry are members of Master Builders, covering the whole of Western Australia from the Kimberley to the Great Southern.

What they all have in common is access to business support from the Association, access to regulatory information, around 150 training courses and support through safety services, contractual advice and technical information.

This means that a Master Builder is more likely to be up to date with the latest regulations and techniques and committed to the sustainability of the industry as a whole. Member are also subject to a Code of Conduct, which contains ethical standards.

Finding a Master Builders member is as easy as visiting the webpage,, where there's an easy to use, free search function called ‘Find a Member’.
You can also access the list of winners in the Master Builders Bankwest Building Excellence Awards to find award-winning builders for residential or commercial projects in a range of categories and easily search for a winner in your price bracket.
