Have A Go Day

Steve talks to Dawn Yates, Executive Officer for the Seniors Recreation Council, the organisers of Have a Go Day. This fabulous free event is held every year at Burswood Park next to Crown Perth. Dawn told Steve that this year’s theme is Seniors Embracing Technology – there’ll be a host of Technology activities to try, such as how easy it is to connect with Facebook, digital camera use, and even how to use Skype. Basically showing over 45’s how to use and connect with the digital age.

Besides lots of physical activities, there’ll be prizes, free samples, entertainment and static displays for the over 45’s like information from agencies such as Council on the Ageing, Diabetes WA, Beyond Blue, various government bodies and many more. There are over 200 stall holders where you can come and discover more about ‘healthy ageing through activity’.
