LandCorp's latest planned development proposes to transform the already established, yet somewhat under-utilized, Bunbury Waterfront into a destination point for families and community gatherings and an amazing place to call home.

Initial work at Koombana North has already seen improvements to what locals call the ski beach and the foreshore, offering pedestrians and cyclists better access to the beach through to the neighbouring Marlston Hill.

Koombana North is minutes from the already well-established cafe strip along the Bay and a short walk to Bunbury CBD. The development itself proposes five building sites, and private developers will be invited to deliver mixed use developments of four to six storeys.

Two of the building sites lie along the public waterfront of the Koombana Bay foreshore and will enjoy magnificent views forever over the water. The three other building sites are strategically located alongside one of the city's main thoroughfares, Koombana Drive and they'll enjoy views over the Leschenault inlet through to the city centre.

The brief for developers will be to come up with building designs that reflect the beauty and majesty of Koombana Bay, in keeping with the overall vision for the Bunbury waterfront to become a world-class destination to visit, live, work and socialise.
As the State’s land developer, LandCorp is a leader in major rejuvenation projects – many, including Mandurah Ocean Marina, are multi-award winners. As with those developments, Koombana North will breathe new life into the area, creating a fresh place with an exciting mix of business opportunities and a waterfront lifestyle.
