Whiteman Park is a picturesque recreation and conservation reserve just 25 minutes from the city centre. It's one of our most popular destinations for locals and tourists and it's huge-10 times the size of King's Park.

The bushland surroundings, shelters and Barbecue facilities make it the perfect picnic spot. One of the the largest playgrounds in WA is here.. as well as a water playground in summer.. and all the playgrounds are shaded with shade cloth.

There's a collection museum and motor museum and the trains and trams are a huge hit keeping young and old go for hours. There's fantastic bush walks and bike rides that meander through the reserve taking in bushland as well as farmland, so you can check out the native plants and wildlife and feed the kangaroos and emus .

Browse or buy at the cottage shops, and it's a great venue for educational groups, weddings and corporate functions.

The entrance is on Lord Street between Reid Highway and Gnangarra Road. It's open every day of the year from 9 am and stays open till 7 Saturdays and Sundays.. 8.30 in January.

Until December.. the cost is $2 for adults, $1 children and $5 per family.
