It’s that time again, the time to acknowledge great apprentices across WA in the building and construction industry with the 2010 Master Builders Apprentice of the year awards.

This year the awards were held at the Esplanade Hotel in Fremantle and awarded the most talented young apprentices with over 320 industry professionals coming along for the night.
The Awards play a vital role in showcasing outstanding young apprentices. This year’s winner was Kade Keddie from Kimberley Group Training. Along with Kade were six other finalists including Callum McKean for most outstanding regional apprentice, Jakke Hutchinson for winning the skill hire award for most outstanding 4th year apprentice and Jake Hall from ABN Training who received a special commendation and won most outstanding ABN apprentice. We spoke with Jake to find out how he felt about winning the award and to see what advice he would have for other young people looking to take up a trade.

As the winner of the 2010 Master Builders Apprentice of the Year award for WA, Kade Keddie will automatically be entered into the National Master Builders awards competing against the top building apprentices from all other states and territories.

The Master Builders Apprentice of the Year awards are a great way to celebrate fantastic work undertaken by apprentices throughout WA. On behalf of Home in WA and Master Builders, we would like to congratulate all the finalists. For a complete list of all the finalists and more information head to
