As anyone living on the land in Western Australia will tell you, The Dowerin Field Days have become something of an icon on the West Australian events calendar. Certainly, it's an annual opportunity to meet fellow farmers, look at all the latest technology and chat about all matters past, present and future.

This year, the Dowerin GWN Field Days will be held over three days..on the 28th, 29th and 30th of this month.

This really is one of the largest showcases of agricultural machinery, allied equipment, technology and rural business in Australia, and its all in one spot so farmers can access anything from Export and International Trade opportunities to Land Management techniques, Financial advice, right through to leisure and lifestyle displays.

There's going to be over 40 new releases on display, from this fellow to tractors that steer automatically.

Apart from new inventions, that all help to give farmers the edge on improving their bottom line, there's also the innovations competition where clever minds work to solve practical farm problems, like a revolutionary animal tetherer and a rotary seed ssorter and cleaner.

There'll be sheep dog handling demonstrations, all-terrain vehicle safety demonstrations and even celebrity chefs whipping up a storm creating tasty treats from wheatbelt produce.

If you're on the land, be it a large wheat farm to a small weekender hobby farm, the Dowerin GWN Field Days provide one of the most comprehensive one-stop shops in Australia and even if you're not out to make one of those big-ticket purchases we know you want to go somewhere where its all on display for you to try and compare.

The Dowerin GWN Field Days - August 28, 29 & 30. Hours are 8 am to 5 pm daily and entry is $12 for adults, $6 concession and free for school children uniform.

Dowerin is just 2 hours scenic drive from Perth via Northam or Toodyay.
