Midland Brick is a name synonymous with building or renovating in brick and they’ve been around for over sixty years.  In 1984, Midland Brick set up a branch in Kalgoorlie to service the needs of an ever growing population as far afield as Eucla in the east, Wiluna in the north and Esperance in the south. In 2006, 53 million dollars was spent building Kiln 11 in Middle Swan to manufacture additional output to supply this huge area.

Prior to this, sourcing materials from their Middle Swan headquarters meant delays in supply and often inadequate range of product.

At a minimum, two road trains a week deliver and supply to the Kalgoorlie plant and customers can load direct from the plant and choose from a huge range of stock including bricks, blocks pavers and facing tiles.

Midland Brick were particularly mindful, when building Kiln 11,  of the need to lessen the impact on the environment and the new kiln was fitted with state of the art scrubbers which means the plant uses 50% less gas to heat the kiln which in turn means lower green house emissions.

Kalgoorlie branch manager, Andrew Reilly, shows Ross Dunkerton around the plant and highlights the huge commitment Midland Brick has made in the Goldfields region.
