It’s a well known fact among Perth’s foodies that The Grand Palace here at 3 The Esplanade Perth, is one of our very best modern cuisine Chinese restaurants. The food, the wine, the people … all coming together to make this place a standout experience.

And of course the function room, Mai, is continuously busy with celebrations and business presentations.

Here’s an example of how you can prepare one of The Grand Palace’s signature dishes at home on your own BBQ … simply and easily.

GRAND PALACE - HONG KONG BAY PRAWNS

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:



  • 300g Prawn meat

  • 2 egg yokes

  • Half rice bowl of corn flour

  • 2 tbsp Szechuan Chilli Sauce

  • 1 tbsp Black Bean Sauce

  • ¼ Onion chopped

  • 4pcs dry chilli whole

  • 5g Coriander

  • Olive oil



 Method:



  1. Mix prawn meat with egg yokes

  2. Heat up the pan, and pour in about 10ml Olive oil

  3. Dip each prawn in corn flour and put in the pan that has been heated up with oil, pan fried until cooked

  4.  Take out the Prawn and oil from pan

  5. Put in chilli sauce, black bean sauce, onion, dry chilli and 1 tbsp water into the hot pan and mix well

  6. Put prawn and coriander into the pan and stir fried for a few second

  7. Put all on a plate - serve
