This is Bunbury … a jewel in the Great South-West’s crown. Just a 2 hour drive from Perth, very soon to be considerably shortened with the opening of the new highway. With Tuart forests, pristine beaches and a cosmopolitan lifestyle it’s no wonder Bunbury says, “You should see us now”!

Bunbury is the major seaport of the South-West region. Already the largest centre outside of Perth, it is continually expanding and maintains a position as the third fastest growing region in Australia.

Part of the changing face of Bunbury is the back beach development. This once neglected area has been upgraded, landscaped and dotted with barbeque facilities and rest rooms. The cities 11 million dollar library opened in February, and if activity is your passion … the city is alive with sporting clubs and modern facilities including the enormous aquatic and recreation centre.

Bunbury is surrounded by water with the Indian Ocean, Leschenault Inlet, Koombana Bay and Leschenault Estuary. There’s easily accessible Tuart forest with wildflowers and walking trails.

Bunbury enjoys warm to hot summers and cool, wet winters with plenty of sun in the cooler months to enjoy. It's a typical Mediterranean style climate ideal for holidays most of the year round.
The City of Bunbury. As they say …
