Did you know, The BCITF can cover up to $8000 of the cost to take on a new apprentice in the building and construction industry.

We visited a job site and had a talk to an employer that took on an new apprentice and discuss the benefits.

The BCITF is helping to develop the skills required in a modern safe and construction industry by supporting training programs across all sectors of the industry.

Since their inception the BCITF has distributed over 178 million to support training in the industry and over 23.5 million was invested in training during 2007/08.

The BCITF support a strong, vibrant apprenticeship and training system that is helping to over come the shortage of tradesmen in the trade industry. The funds received from the collection go back to the industry to support training and skill development.

So if your company could do with a new apprentice but you thought you couldn’t afford one. Then maybe now is the time to speak the BCITF about funding your new apprentice.
