How long has it been since you last visited Armadale. Armadale has changed substantially in recent years..and is becoming quite the spot to live and work. There have been some major redevelopments in the area and we took a look around to see what’s going on in Armadale.

The Armadale City centre is now a genuine regional centre at the heart of a bustling urban community. New suburbs like Harrisdale, Piara Waters and Champion Lakes are part of the newly invigorated City of Armadale. Located only 30 minutes from the Perth CBD, Armadale’s city centre is nestled amongst scenic parks, rolling hills and picturesque valleys.

The Armadale redevelopment began in 2001 and over 200 million dollars has been spent in the City’s retail centre alone over the past 5 years. The district’s population is expected to grow from 55,000 to 120,000 over the next 20 years and the new Forrestdale Business Park is expected to provide 15,000 extra jobs by 2020..

The extension to the Tonkin Hwy brings Armadale’s new residential areas and business park closer to Perth’s main transport system (just 20 minutes to Perth Airport). This makes it more attractive to business investors and new residents who want to enjoy the backdrop of the hills and natural bush, but still readily access all the services, shopping, leisure and commercial opportunities of a metropolitan city.
And in 2005 a state of the art 4 screen cinema opened with a brand new shopping complex so you can catch all the latest blockbusters on the big screen.

We took a walk down the Jull Street mall and took a look at the new Champion lakes Estate.  A 2000m international rowing lake nestled in this new estate make this a hot spot in Armadale at the moment.
For see more why not head up to the Perth Hills this weekend and see the new Armadale for yourself.
