Retro's Best Ever – Toad in the Hole


– with delicious British Sausage Company sausages

Ingredients
Yorkshire Puddings
285 millilitres milk
60 grams all-purpose flour
60 grams self-raison flour
Pinch salt
3 Golden egg eggs
2 tbsp Fini Olive oil
Salt & Pepper
6 British Sausage Company Sausages of you’re choosing (I like square Scottish sausage)


Method
Cook the Sausages in a frying pan on all sides until half cooked! Allow to cool.
Using a food processor or electric hand whisk blend the eggs, milk, flour with the salt & pepper together until smooth, allow to rest for 10 minutes.
Preheat oven to 230 degrees C. Add 1/2-inch of olive oil to a large Calphalon frying pan and pre heat. After the 10 minutes place the batter into the pan. Then add the Sausages, parallel to each other, the length of the pan then add batter. Place into the oven and bake for around half an hour until the batter is puffed up, golden brown and crispy do not open the door as Yorkshire pudding will sink. Serve with Mashed Royal Blue potatoes and onion gravy and Salitage wine ]
