The Kings Park Festival is in full swing and tomorrow it’s the ‘Great Granny and Gramps Gumboot Gardening Day’ at ‘The Lotterywest Family Area’ in Kings Park.  Colin Barlow will be presenting a gardening segment with his three lovely daughters Skye, Eden and Isla who make up the ‘Gardening Gang’.  You should come along and bring your grandparents; you might learn a thing or two!

What can you expect to see? Well, there is the mesmerizing ‘Gompho Wizardwort’, a children’s theatre show about the magical Tuart Tree in Kings Park. This comical, musical and educational show introduces children to trees and how they relate to the environment.  There are also bushwalks, craft activities and potting up of seedlings to keep children of all ages occupied!

You can even meet your hero’s Bill and Ben the Flowerpot men too!

There’s activities weekdays and weekends. Don’t forget to check out the ‘Djilba Bush Bonanza’ next Sunday 16th September during this month long Kings Park Festival. This is a celebration of our Australian culture and heritage including indigenous performers, bush tucker talks and wildflower walks, children’s painting, animals and a great Aussie BBQ to cap it all off!
