Only weeks ago regional WA was witness to all the usual shenanigans of the Telethon Toyota Trek, as this years crew made their way from Fremantle to Exmouth!

Since 2000 the Trek has helped raise over $1.5m for Telethon and large proportion of these much needed funds have come from the sale of the Trek Home.

For the last 4 years leading regional building company WA Country Builders, have designed and developed a Trek Home which is auctioned with net proceeds being donated to Telethon via their entry into the Trek, Car 63.

Proceeds go towards providing much needed funding for sick and disadvantaged WA children, and a large chunk of funds raised through the sale of the trek home is earmarked for projects in country areas of Western Australia.

With offices from Albany to Kalbarri WA Country Builders wide network across the state and their expert local knowledge in each area has put them in the enviable position of WA’s largest regional builder.

WA Country Builders choose to build to an exceptionally high standard. This year’s Telethon Toyota Trek Home at the beautiful Seacrest Estate is the second to be built here in Geraldton and it’s predicted to be the most spectacular home in Trek history.

Of course the success of the home and total funds raised is ultimately dependant upon the generous support from businesses, the trades, suppliers and individuals within the community and WA Country Builders would not have been able to bring such a worthy and special project to regional WA if not for support within the community.

For instance all bricks, pavers and roof coverings have been donated by Austral Bricks and Bluescope Lysart have donated all fencing. Geraldton Independent Building Supplies, Wests Glazing and Geraldton Building Services and Cabinets have also generously come on board for the project, as have Bunnings in Geraldton and Coral Robson from Geraldton Ceramics.

Active Plumbing has been involved with the last three of WA Country Builders Trek Homes in the Mid West and continues to support the project as a way of helping Telethon and the kids of WA.

Every home needs a firm foundation and Ready Mix Concrete in Geraldton has once again leapt at the chance to donate their services and get behind the construction of the Trek home.

With last year's Telethon Trek home built by WA Country Builders in Beachridge Estate Jurien raising $330,000 the company predict this years home in Geraldton will raise at least $300,000 for Telethon.

Home in WA thanks Phil Raven & his team at WA Country Builders for again playing a major role in building the Telethon Trek Home which will stand as a testament to the generosity of local suppliers, tradespeople and staff who have all played their part in helping the Kids of Telethon!
