If you're looking for a great holiday, a weekend away or yes, a place to move to and take life easy, Busselton is currently considered one of the 'seachange' communities.

This area has a growth rate that rivals the highest in Australia. And this growth is projected to continue into the foreseeable future and the Shire has planned for the population to double to around 50,000 in the next 14 years.

The Shire has a number of initiatives in place to cope with that expansion and take development pressure off the coastal fringe. Three new "villages" -Provence, Ambergate and Vasse - are being developed, set back from the coast itself, but still within easy reach of all the popular facilities that make living and visiting Western Australia's south west region, so attractive.

The people who live here will tell you there are many factors that contribute to this great place. It offers a diverse range of opportunities, has a community that is involved and passionate and boasts natural beauty comparable to most anywhere in the world. Sport and recreation opportunities abound, there are good schools that offer quality education and there are also many socially enriching opportunities

From the calm waters of Geographe Bay, a unique north-facing bay with its famous 2km long timber jetty, to the rough and tumble high surf on the west coast, including the famous Yallingup and Smiths Beach, there is much for the Shire of Busselton to boast about

The Shire of Busselton is a great place to live and work! All the way from Busselton to Yallingup and Dunsborough.
